This Privacy Policy explains how the Chatlys Shopify app ("we", "our", or "the App") collects, uses, and protects information when you install and use the App in your Shopify store.

Information we collect

End-customer personal data: The App is designed not to store end-customer personal information. When we receive Shopify’s mandatory GDPR webhooks (customers/data_request, customers/redact, shop/redact), we process them accordingly and, for customer-related events, confirm that no customer PII is stored by the App.

How we use information

Data retention and deletion

We retain only the minimum data necessary to operate the App and your Chatlys connection. If you uninstall the App or we receive a shop/redact webhook from Shopify, the App deletes stored data associated with your shop. For customer-related GDPR requests, the App does not store end-customer data and acknowledges accordingly.

Sharing of information

We do not sell or rent your information. We may share limited data with service providers as needed to operate the App (e.g., hosting and database providers). These providers are bound by appropriate confidentiality and data protection obligations.

Security

We implement reasonable and appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect the information we store. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.
